I’m Going To Be Doing This All Day

As I write this morning, I accidentally typed, “he had no allusions about his own safety” instead of “illusions.” I noticed it and corrected it, but now, I’m so amused at the thought of him randomly making allusions about his safety to himself that it’s hard to focus on the story. What would that even be?

“I have Gandalf’s ability to get out of hard situations”? Or maybe “I have Lazarus’ own luck.” Or perhaps he meant it in a negative way like “When it came to clumsiness, he was a young Neville Longbottom with no magic to save him,” or “In the life and times of the Wiggin children, he was only a squirrel, and he knew it.”

*sigh* My sense of humor can really be a pain sometimes.
