A Writing Prompt: The Super Challenge

The hardest part of this writing prompt (the super challenge) is thinking of the super power. And, no, it’s not just any super power.
The Super Power Writing Challenge
- Think of a super power that would not only be practically worthless in a battle with a super villain but is also super inconvenient in the hero’s normal life.
- Then, find a believable way for the hero’s power save the world (the hero does not have to be male).
Like I said, step 1 is the hardest because thinking of the unexpected takes a lot of brainpower. Of course, the better you do at step 1, the harder step 2 will be.
If anyone comes up with a solution to this prompt that works, I want to read it! Share, please!
Update March 4, 2021: I have since heard of My Hero Academia, and Deku is an excellent example of a super power with a major downside. But it isn’t that hard to deal with in normal life. Conversely, one of the side characters has an ability that would be hard in normal life (being invisible all the time), but it is pretty useful against villains.
I just wanted to demonstrate that the combination of annoying and seemingly-useless abilities is pretty hard to come by and isn’t used much in existing super hero stories. That said, if anyone knows of one, I’m all ears.
